I am a huge fan of babywearing. It’s something I’m passionate about and has become a lifestyle. It has saved me on more occasions than I can count. There are plenty of different types, but one of my favorite types of carriers is a ring sling. It is an easy and fashionable way to carry your little one and keep them close…and when it is time to play it can also be folded and tucked neatly away in a diaper bag to be used later. For me, it replaces a stroller completely most of the time, but I also always have one with me even when I’m using the stroller.
More specifically, I am in love with the Sakura Bloom brand. I have developed quite a collection of ring slings…and it is also my favorite baby gift to give. Although not for every budget, I spread the Sakura Bloom love when I can!
One of the things I love about a ring sling is how supported my daughter is. When adjusted properly, it is comfortable and she is secure and cozy. It also allows my hands to be free, so I can multitask when I’m wearing her. If Olivia is not able to take a nap at home, either because we’re traveling or will be out adventuring, I make sure to have a sling with me. I can always get Olivia to sleep in the sling. And when I say always, I mean ALWAYS! She can’t fight that sleepy dust. Ok, well she fights it…but it’s usually at the peak of her resistance when the sleep takes hold. Now transferring her from the sling to another surface while she’s sleeping is another story. I haven’t mastered that one yet. So instead, I enjoy the cuddles of my sleeping baby.
As I mentioned earlier, a Sakura Bloom ring sling is not only functional, but also fashionable. With the varieties of colors and materials that are available, it can fit a wide variety of wardrobes. And with new releases every Spring and Fall, the colorways are always changing. And for those of us with a Sakura Bloom addiction, there are Facebook groups devoted to the brand where people buy, sell, and trade slings. It’s a great place to find discontinued colors.
I have a plethora of sling pictures since the time I discovered the ring sling…but be forewarned before you browse, this is a highly addictive product and you might fall down the rabbit hole. 😉
